Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actor and producer who is best famous for the roles she played on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. She began acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent, and TV series. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also numerous awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She made her professional debut in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. On television her regular role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
