She was born in Santa Monica, California on the 26th of November, 1986. The singer is the sole child of Vincenzo Barba. The year 2006 was the time when the couple moved with their family members to Point Pleasant New Jersey. Red Bank Catholic High School was where she got the formal education she needed in New Jersey. Then she attended Catholic University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in architecture. Her first violin lessons began at age 4 and was referred to by the name Violin Girl. Due to her musical performance, she was referred to as Violin Girl. She also taught violin to neighborhood kids. When she was nineteen she auditioned for the sixth season of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit single Free. However, she was removed from the show after achieving the 16th spot.
