Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a journalist who is also an author as well as the anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day." She lives in Westport, CT, and was appointed to the Westport Country Playhouse's board of trustees. Camerota has been a journalist for over 30 years, was a reporter for news and events across the globe and nationally. She was awarded one Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the news of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford has been named as an honorary board member following being on the board since the past seven year. Anna Czekaj Farber, who is the chairman of the Westport board after having served as its chair since 2013, has also been named the new board member. Czekaj Farber will replace Barbara Streicker from Westport who held the position of chairperson in the past year and continued in this position ever since.
