Alison Krauss
The first surge of public recognition was for bluegrass singer Alison Krauss in 1990 when, at the age of 19 years old, she was able to walk away at her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. It was an accomplishment not just due to the artist's age, but because the album that was a part of her success, I've Got That Old Feeling is actually the third album in the collection of Krauss. Too Late To Cry is her debut album. The album was released in Champaign Illinois at the age of at the age of 16. At 14, she signed to sign a contract with Rounder Records - one of the most revered folk music labels. Her accomplishments even at such a youthful age, as well as her musical virtuosity have been consistently matched by her ability to maintained her devotion to bluegrass, one of the oldest and least appreciated musical genres. Krauss had been a teenager phenom, had grown into a performer as well as a producer.
